Where are Canadians buying their detailing products?

I`m wondering where most of you buy your car detailing products in Canada (other than Eshine.ca & Amazon.ca).

I`ve been having a hard time getting the products I want (i.e. Hydro-Tech Pads, CarPro Reflect Polish, LSP`s, car soaps, etc.).

    I use two:
    Eshine
    Auto obsessed

One eastern Canada, one western Canada, both offer wonderful service and products.

Anyone found a source of Bilt Hamber Auto Foam in North America?

Nope, but I did order a tub of the Auto Balm directly from Rubbish Boys in the UK. Shipping took about a week from England to me on Vancouver Island. Canada Post could take a lesson or two from the great service provided by the Royal Mail.

I did find a source of Auto Foam here in Canada though. $14 for a liter and a local guy brings it in from Coquitlam and it makes a really thick foam, ph neutral that encapsulates dirt/crud and sounds conceptually similar to ONR but not associated whatsoever.

I was hoping to find a source of the BH snow foam but this stuff works well.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Did you like the Autobalm, took me a while to find the right technique

I really liked it and you`re right, technique is everything with the AutoBalm. I`m an inveterate experimenter so I`m currently using PowerLock for a bit and it`s way easier to deal with.

Awesome little place local to Calgary... and I`m fairly sure they provide online ordering as well.

Loads of great stuff crammed in to a cool little store.

I`m not Canadian, but doesn`t Autopia ship to Canada? Is it the shipping price? Just inquiring.

Re: Where are Canadians buying their detailing products?

    It`s a long story,

Not to bash Autopia/PBMG but they canceled my shipment after waiting about a week for my LSP. Apparently it`s their policy not to accept US payments for goods shipping to Canada but still allowed me to place the order online (not easy being an American living in Canada). I couldn`t justify paying a 100$ more for the same products just because they wanted me to pay with Canadian funds and in effect lose out on the exchange rate and fee`s. None the less, I still placed an order with PBMG (paid with my US credit card) and had it shipped to upstate NY. I drove about 2 hours (round trip) to pick up my order. Luckily, I got around customs by importing the products as personal effects (I was warned that this provision is to be used one time only). When I got home and unboxed the products I noticed that the CarPro Reflex polish I received was about week or so from the expiry date. I`ve been told it doesn`t really expire but to go trough all that for old product was disappointing (they might as well have removed the sticker).

The above experience combined with the duty`s and the tax`s I`d be facing on my next pickup got me looking for a Canadian Detailing Retailer. Keep in mind customs range from 16% to 62% [duty+tax] (depending where the product was manufactured) Canadian money is worth about 25% less than USD so it ends up costing a lot more than expected for Canadians. (E.G. a $200 order could end up costing $405 Canadian).

At least your healthcare is FREE...or are they paying for it with the Customs Charges?
