For anyone who purchases from Autogeek and resides in Canada, maybe you can help me out.

I was thinking of purchasing the System One Pro Kit from Autogeek and had some questions.

I know on the shipping front, USPS is being used, and is the best for us Canadian`s (we wont be as killed on duties than using UPS). However, I think we still end up paying duties on anything over $60CAD?

Question is, what is the amount of duties I should expect to pay if I get my custom order of System One for $69.99 + 19.50 for shipping? From my estimates, I think I should pay less than $20CAD for duty. Is this correct?

    -----------------------------------

Another option too, Eastwood Co. also sells the System One Pro Kit but for $69.99US. And you can get them to ship via Canada Post for like $13US because they ship from the customs place in Niagara Falls. But I think you still have to pay 13% taxes and possible duties, I`m not sure though.

    What do you guys think?

Since it`s being shipped USPS Canada post will do the paper work to cross the boarder and I`m almost positive they charge a flat rate of $5 to do it where UPS can be upwards of $30-$40. You will be charge the tax on it + $5 so assuming autogeek marks the value at $70 on the customs form you will pay 13% tax if in Ontario ($9) + $5 brokerage fee.

slckrsx is correct, more or less. You don`t pay "duty" (thanks to Free Trade). You pay GST (+ Provincial Sales Tax, depending on where you live) and a $5 processing fee to Customs (or whatever it`s called these days ). Or maybe it`ll just sail through and you won`t have to pay anything! Whichever way you cut it, it sure beats UPS!!

I know Chris from Eshine can probably get these items for you ,I have heard he can order many products which is not even available on Eshine ,I have not done this myself yet but from now on when I want to order anything from the US vendors,I`ll check with Chris first ,if he can get them then I`ll go through him and not worry about brokerage fee or importation tax any more.

Okay I want to place my order however I dont want to seem like a cheapskate but adding the autopia discount code for 10% off, I think the total should be $77.97 not $81.57.

Anyone know how their placing the 10% off on? I did the subtotal minus 10% + added shipping and got $77.97 as the grand total.

Looks like the adapter didn`t get included. I know they sometimes mention that PCs, polishers and car covers are excluded, so maybe they didn`t add the polisher acc.?

You could call/e-mail them directly. Maybe they`ll manually add it. :nixweiss:
