I know it`s the beginning of summer and winter should be the furthest thing from my mind, but I`m looking to order some more stuff online and I was wondering about how I`m going to wash my car this winter.

I`m in Ottawa, so it`s cold. I don`t have access to a heated garage or anything similar. Would the Optimum no rinse work well on a car that has a lot of dirt and salt on it? If not, what do you guys use to wash your car in the winter?

    Hey Squimper,

I`m also in Ottawa and I use Optimum No Rinse or QEW all winter long. If my car is really covered in salt etc I`ll stop at one of those do it yourself washbays and just rinse the crap off, and then I`ll use the No Rinse with the two bucket system (might have to replace the water a couple of times if the car is still pretty dirty). I`ve been doing this for a few years now and haven`t experienced any marring or scratches.

Yup, it works. Also, get it from www.eshine.ca and support our canadian vendors!

Just read Paul`s article, it`s brilliant. I hope it gets bumped up come winter-time. Now that I have a car worthy of detailed attention, this Autopia site has been a god-send....

Wow thanks for all the tips guys, I`ll check out that link.

And yes, I got my first order from eShine yesterday and plan to place another order with them soon. They`ve been very easy to deal with. In all honesty, they`ve been the easiest online shopping I`ve ever done. I`ve said it in another thread, but I`m very impressed with the service I got from Chris at eShine.

Glad to have a Canadian store to support and at the same time, it`s cheaper and easier for me to buy!
