    Re: Post Deployment Change Up

Wasn`t in as bad a shape as I thought it would be. Iron x, extra fine clay sponge, Reset wash, and Ech2o/Reload mixed as drying aid. Couple of swirls on the deck lid but otherwise looks like it did 8 months ago. Still gonna polish off WG and go with HPC just no rush now. Too fun to drive.

I put up some lights while I was waiting for the car to get finished. Kind of ghetto looking but it is base housing so I can`t do anything permanent.

After I got it cleaned up, I went out driving and messed with the paddle shifters in manual mode. Holy crap 1st through 3rd.....either upshift or downshift and sounds like a tornado under the hood. 1st and 2nd gear with stock tires is useless with anything more than half throttle.

    (Before I cleaned the inside)

Put some carbon fiber Jake decals on the back of the seats.

Well that certainly looks fun! Hope you enjoy the HPC...I`m pretty impressed with it so far...application, looks and self-cleaning seem to be top shelf.

Was gonna polish the Uber off the Vette and recoat with HPC but the Uber is still doing well 9n it so I think I`m gonna (*gasp*) just leave that one alone this year.

Well, thanks to you I am like a dog chasing his tail with coatings. I WAS gonna go with kamikaze on it then you keep posting in your darn coating thread....

Pretty fond of the ech2o reload mix using Merlin`s ratio.

Going to a C&C this morning and just wiped down with the above and then topped with straight Reload . Don`t tell Ron.....I like it.

Can I interest you in some Kamikaze Infinity Wax? Finally broke down and ordered some yesterday with their $5 shipping promo.

Have you tried it yet? If it attracts stuff like Fuzion, I will pass. Generous offer thanks.

Frankly, I don`t expect anything Earth-shattering from it...but being a Kamikaze junkie, just had to finally try it.

That said, the 22ple, if it has the durability of Kami, just might supplant it as my favorite. Have a co-workers vehicle I`m prepping for three coats of HPC next week.

Hopefully a repeat performance of my initial experience...non-metallic black so nowhere to hide.

Ya think 50ML is enough for two coats on the Vette?

    Re: Post Deployment Change Up

Should be. Used about 35ml to do 2 coats on a 2016 Ford Extended Transit Van (except for roof) like below; picked up a 50ml bottle to do 2 coats on our C5 Vette and was confident it would suffice ( although not doing Vette this year )

Had about 25ml in bottle, still have about half of that after first coat. Ease of application and extreme gloss once again amazes me. It really takes all the PIA aspects outta coating application; it`s at a point where anyone who asks me to do their car is gonna have to pony up the $$ for this cuz it`s just not worth the trouble to mess with anything else.

Wouldn`t be surprised if you got 3 coats outta 50ml. Used Gyeon foam block and Carpro suede for application...about 72 degrees F and slightly humid.
