I have already established that I`m getting a rust spot fixed on my `09 car, covered by warranty.

Now I have one other area where paint is peeling, but not TOO much.

My concern is that over time it will get progressively worse and worse.

The area that it`s happening around on the inside rear bumper corner near the back rear tire.

The body shop rep said it`s just primer and that I don`t have to worry about it really.

However, my concern is that if it`s not fixed, in a few years it may slowly start to peel and get worse and it won`t be covered by the manufacturer warranty - which expires in July 2012.

Should I be worried or not?

It`s a plastic bumper obviously, which isn`t too concerning, but aesthetically it would be annoying if it did peel too much.

I felt as though the rep was doing me a favor saying, we can do it, but I don`t see the need to, etc, etc.

Really put off by his tone, but he`s not lifting a finger and Honda is covering the cost.

He also added if it were him, he wouldn`t do it.

Sorry to hear about your issue.

However, each vehicle manufacturer has many different suppliers of parts, such as your bumper fascia, where the vehicle was assembled.

So----before you expect an answer of some expertise, you really should tell the viewers about what vehicle, etc.

Once I and others see such important information, it may be possible to provide some input.

kuba- FWIW that bodyshop guy is displaying an attitude that would make me wary. Sounds a bit too accepting of your car having a cosmetic issue (that`s clearly unacceptable to you) for my taste. Wonder if he`d consider imperfect work by his shop to be OK too

You know how you found his tone off-putting? IMO that`s a clue that you should pay attention to.
