the R32 is nice from a standstill, but as you go faster, the AWD tends to rob alot of power. Granted, once you get to insane power levels, it doesn`t really matter anymore (read the AMS Evo).

When Motor Trend did a shootout, the R32 beat all the other ""exotic" cars in the test. Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche etc... the GTI came out as the winner. Total cost: $60000.
Try putting that much power on the front wheels!

either way i still think that 95% would rather have a mid 11 sec z06 than a 11 vw.
to each their own :lol
The GTI is the total package and not a straight line ride. I don`t think I heard anyone mention sleeper either.

30K is not that much if it beats true exotic cars and seats 5 with lots of trunk space. I think you are comparing apples with oranges.
How long do you think that the HPA R32 could sustain those kinds of power numbers anyways. I mean really, side mount intercoolers? Heat soak anyone? Alot of the 0-60 time deals with an AWD launch. I`d like to know its 5-60 time. Not trying to bash (even though as I re-read this it sounds like I am), but I think I`d rather have the Z. I would like to see what HPA could do with an aftermarket front bumper with a huge cutout for a large FMIC and running open downpipes.

Did you watch the videos?
No I didn`t. I`m on 56k. What`s in them?
Attic, its a blue/white 04. I can`t launch worth a crap though. I either bog down or spin the tire. I don`t have enough clutch/throttle finese. But hey, I`ve only been riding it since feb of this year and only started trying to ride it hard recently so I`m still kinda new to it. I`m sure with a good rider it could.

Give me the same size tire as the Zo6, and I`ll bet it would be a different story. Maybe...
