I`m having my 96 Impala repaired from an accident and trying to decide what I want. I have two choices:

    BLACK

    BLACK/SILVER TWO-TONE

I perfer the black. But if you wanna look like a cop you can go with the two tone.

:nixweiss How does that look like a cop? Well I love black but since i`m getting work done to it I thought i change it up and make it look like I changed something. Its just hard to decide.

Personally, I don`t think the shape of that Impala body style lends itself to two-tone schemes. The early, straight styles do but not these curvier ones.

I might try the two tone at the lower body line.

I say go with the two tone. You will have some nice new black paint to work with, without having a copletely black car and the work that that involves..
    Insert witty quip here...

I like the all black. The all black SS has such an intimidating look I wouldn`t want to give that up.

Keep it BBB baby. That`s what these cars were supposed to look like.

My opinion would be go for the two-tone, but put the black on the bottom and the silver up top instead. Maybe have a red accent by having it pinstriped right around where the two colors meet.

    My $0.02

BTW, I`m jealous. I`ve wanted an Impala SS ever since I drove one for Driver`s Ed. (Yes, they used one as a Driver`s Ed car!)

Dont mind the rims. I have stock polished SS rims, and a set of 18 C5 rims. No bling for me.:up

Yeah there will definetly be a paint stripe if i go the two tone route. My painter and I ruled out red though. Thinking maybe a turquiose, or lime green. Mind you this will be about a 1/4 paint stripe.

Silver on top is an idea! Still have the mirror reflection black on the sides that way. Hmmm....:bounce

Does your car have anything for exterior mods? A picture of it? That could really help.
