Best tire gauge?

Sears has the Accutire MS4020 Digital Gauge on sale for $9.99 with a free shipping rebate thru Nov. 19. It was rated `excellent` in Consumer Reports Tire Gauge Tests

Reading some threads on Autopia, some said its a bit of a pain to use compared to the pencil & dial gauges. Has to be set just right on the valve for the gauge to read. I decided to order one anyway and if its not good, just return it to Sears.

Accugage is great...take care of it, don`t drop it. I`ve mailed mine back to Meiser and they will check and re-cal at no charge (at least they used to).

I believe that is basically the same as the 4020, except yours has the added backlight. Both were rated 1&2 `excellent` by CR. Amazon sells the 4000 for quite a bit cheaper than Autogeek. Accutire MS-4000B at Amazon

Longacre makes some very accurate tire pressure gauges. Quite pricey thoough...the one shown is $285.00 USD.

I forgot to say- it was purchased for I believe just under $20 at either Northern Tool or Wal-Mart, I don`t recall off the top of my head.

My tires hold about 35-39.

Digital gauges are generally more accurate. I bought mine on Amazon. Cheap and accurate.

A gauge is most accurate in it`s middle range. So you`re kind of in between, but if it was me, I`d go with the 60 psi. I`ve got an Accu-tire for my truck, but on my kart, where .5 psi makes a difference, I have a Longacre Deluxe.
