Looking for the section on trouble shooting the leveling suspension on a GMC 2004 Yukon Denali. Do you mind sharing that section of your manual if you have it?

    Thanks,

Eh, I can`t get it to work OK in my scanner; I have the huge paper manual and it`s not gonna work

What does the problem appear to be?

I probably won`t be of much help here as I`ll be offline until tomorrow and, well...I can`t get the pages digitalized.

I`d suggest going over to gm-trucks.com and asking for some assistance there.

Sounds like it`s *NOT* just a case of an air leak. IF that were the problem the compressor would`ve run for a loong time before finally shutting down. That didn`t happen, right?

No signs of weirdness like something knocked out of whack, right?

So, I think you need to hook up a scan tool and see if the problem is related to:

    -Suspension Control Module

-Compressor Leveling Module (Air Pressure Sensor and/or Exhaust Selenoid)

    -Compressor Motor Relay

    -Compressor Motor

As I read the FSM, you need the scan tool to start narrowing things down and there are about a dozen pages of diagnostic procedures.

You`re probably gonna get better advice at that GM forum, I simply don`t know what I`m talking about here.

Thanks for your info so far, I still need to find somebody with the manual, then I can take it from there.

Well, I`m not really being of much help IMO.

Do you have the appropriate scan tool?

No I do not, but with my experience and the technical repair manual I can take care of it without the scan tool.

Someone will have a link to the manual or scanned pages. Just make a request on a GM forum and you will get quick help.

Maybe, maybe not  I say that because all the diagnostic charts in my FSM refer to what the scantool reports. Very different in that way from, say...the rear air suspensions on Ford sedans.

It just might be a necessity once you get past the obvious mechanical stuff that you can often just eyeball.

But as Brad B. said, somebody on one of the GM forums will probably be able to help you out. I bet it`s one of those things that`s almost always [this-or-that] and somebody will probably help you narrow it down in no time.
