A friend of mine is building a 95 Camaro Convertible. Wide-body kit, full air ride, 3 piece wheels, 427 LSx motor with a 4.0 whipple sticking out of the hood. Handles, antennae, everything shaved and molded to the car. The secondary color for this car is already gunmetal grey, as all the powdercoating is already done, and it will also sport a grey top and grey interior theme. He is searching for the PERFECT color for this car. Something along the lines of a dark red/burgundy with metallics, pearls....something that POPS and really shows the curves of a car. He is wanting to stay away from candy paint too, so much be 2-stage base/clear.

Post up some pics of this said color.....its going on a car that will have around $100k in it when done. These can be stock colors, or custom colors. Please post pics, and the name of the color please, THANKS!

One of the best reds I have seen is Mazda`s Velocity red on the RX-8. It is deep with a lot of flake in it.

BUMP......anyone have anything a little on the darker side. Like a House of Kolors "Brandywine" shade, but something that is two-stage and not candy?

Brandywine candy is my favorite, depending if the prep and paint was done correctly. You may also look into Calypso Red/BMW and Arena Red/Porsche. My girlfriend drives a Red Fire/Mustang, it looks very deep but the flakes are too big IMO. If you`re keeping open options my 2 favorite reds are Hellrot/BMW, followed by Performance Red/Ford.

Very nice......my buddy has already decided on Venom Metallic Red...came on the newer Vipers. Here`s are some sneak peeks the car it`s going on, it still has another year of work left on it...but it will arguable be THE baddest 4th Generation F-Body you will ever see!
