    I recently saw a beautiful black truck with chrome looking trim, but it was not shiny it has a sort of matte look. It looked so nice and I would love to get it for my VW black Jetta. Any ideas where I can get them??

    I think the word you are looking for is "matte". I had to look at this thread because I thought it had something to do with a new method of chrome trim (re)production....

    Are you sure it`s not a machined finish that you are looking at? It`s bright, but not as shiney as chrome. As a matter of fact it does look like matte chrome.
