I got a dirty pile of crap in today to bring back from the dead!! 3 of the wheels are not too bad but this one is nasty. Caked on brake dust that has been there for years!! I normally use something called Powerbrite for wheels but it didn`t do much on this wheel. I mixed it at 50/50 like I normally do and scrubbed the heck out of it. Any thoughts on products you have tried?

What`s under the brake dust? Chrome? You could clean it the best you can then try a clay bar or chrome polish on 0000 steel wool.

It is a chrome wheel, my apology for not mentioning it!

    Start gentle, then get aggressive.

Try soap, water ,and a brush.

Go to degreaser or a wheel cleaner for anything left.

    Clay what remains, if anything.

Try a metal polish and dremel or power ball.

That doesn`t look that bad actually. Now if that was German black brake dust I would have just told you to give up now

Get a bottle of duragloss`s wheel cleaner. Should take about 30 seconds to clean that wheel to a bright shiney new finish.

you might have to use 803 on that but 851 should get most.
