In my quest for alternative BLACK colors to repaint my Z in, I stumbled upon a color I really like.

It`s the BMW "Individual" option "Azurite Black Metallic".

Their individual program is a system by which when ordering a new BMW through a dealership you can select custom interior and exterior color choices from a broader (though still limited) list, but for an extra premium price of course.

My question is, is it possible to obtain the paint code and/or whatever other info an aftermarket paint & body shop would need to paint a car in that color? OR is BMW typically very secretive about that kind of thing?

    Thanks.

I wonder if there`s an up-to-date revision somewhere of that list you shared.

I tried on some of the bmw forums I frequent but couldnt find anything. But m3forum and dtmpower forums are great and full of smart people who might be able to help. Worse case, shoot me a PM and my buddy use to work at a BMW dealership has a service advisor and Im sure still has friends. TBH at work I couldnt look that hard, saw that pdf and thought I would fire it up in hopes.

Shows several years worth. Look at the 2008 list at the bottom of the page. Page 6 lists the color you are looking for.
