I think American and Japanse auto makers get over zelious with advertising on the body of their cars . I think saying less says more and bring out the boy lines with cleaner intent.

I can only say it is like removing the dealer license plates once you paid them for the car.

I think it will look great.

I just debadged my 2008 black Solstice and plan on smoking the tail lights as well. Still have the Pontiac badge and my rear valance says SOLSTICE in red letters

Debadge and smoke the whole tailights instead of doing the red vinyl.

If you want to tone down the chrome badges, buy a set and get some steel wool and satin finish them.

Here`s a pic of a re-badge Red out Tiburon turn into a Tuscani the name that`s used in Korea.

Take the badges off with Dental floss is the only way!

Debadge everything but the A, imo. I like debadged cars, less busy.

In the BMW world, debadging is encouraged. It helps clean up the area and also assists with when applying wax to the area. It will make the car stand out in a very positive way.

As for "redding out", they`re called clears and usually consist of entire corner light and trunk light units, rather than tape. See if you can find these as I`m certain their performance would far exceed that of some cheap vinyl tape. It`s also nice when you find LEDs but they may be out of your price range.

I vote for debadge and smoke tint. Not crazy about the all red look, and "clears" just scream teenage-boy-racer to me.

    I prefer debadged.

The VW scene is the same way where debadging is considered almost necessary. It`s just that smooth and clean look that appeals to the eyes.
