    I dunno...he didn`t ask if they were legal. The guy who runs that store is an ex-cop, for whatever that`s worth.

    It`s only illegal if you get caught. We`re not supposed to have coloured covers here but everyone does. The police don`t bother you about them unless you give them a reason to.

    Wow - i like it - also, what do most people use to prevent the paint from getting scuffed from the back of the plate. Is there a plastic piece the fits in behind the plate or something, so that the metal of the plate does not touch the paint?

    You can get a frame that should work for most vehicles. I know some people have bought the stick on rubber feel like those that are on the bottom of appliances and put those on the car. Your screws should still reach fine. I would recommend getting stainless steel screws, no more rust problems if you keep them clean. I got mine through Autogeek if I recall.
