marketing idea that worked for me

I did what everyone here said to do. I went to a neighboorhood where there is appox. 70 home all well over $500,000 dollars. Got all the street names and addresses from a friend of mind that neede some extra cash so he did the leg work through the area for the addresses. Anyway i designed a nice little postcard offering 20 dollars off a full detail. Didn`t l;ist my normal price just the 20 dollars off and said alittle something about the winter weather and how harsh the weather can be on your cars, I should also ad that this is the same neighborhood i live in too so naturally i sent one to myself so i couuld get an idea when the rest of the area got them. I should also ad that i have only been in the area for 2 mos and haven`t meet hardly anyone in the area. And beileve it or not i`ve had 3 full details and 2 wash and waxes the first week it was out and still recieving some call today. For the min investment like about 2 hours of my time designing and cutting and labeling and appling postage to them and maybe an hour of my buddys time. Those new clients made me about $675 dollars off of a post card that i created and a mailing list that was created and postage since a post card is cheaper to mail than a letter. i spent about $40.00 dollars now that is quite a retun and new happy clients that will spread the word for me.

Just thought i`d tell you all that great story

Right on dude. I think with detailing you can make as much money as you want with determination and persistance. I think most companies close because they burn themselves out or just give up ..It takes alot of work ..
