    ATV`s

Is there any advantage to using waxes on ATV`s? After riding mine this weekend, I washed it and out of boredom, thought about applying some wax to it. I am just unsure if this would be beneficial in any way. The body pieces are colored plastic. I dont think they are painted, I think its just colored plastic. The reason I think this way is that I have a couple scratches on it and they are the same color in the scratches. I have never tried to wax anything like this and am just curious if it would help the overall looks. Any thoughts??
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

It might help, but if you use them off-road, it`s a losing battle.
Back in my dirt riding days, I finally gave up on keeping them looking good and just concentrated on keeping them running.
The first time I threw one down a ravine, I figured out that pretty just wasn`t going to happen.
