    Liability Ins. for Aircraft Detailing

Does anyone know the names of insurance companies that offer policies for aircraft detailers. I am looking for general aviation, single engine land aircraft.

This would be one of those policys you truly would not want to make a claim on

Re: Liability Ins. for Aircraft Detailing

I once thought that the guys who detail aircraft charged nutty prices, $4,000 for a G4, took a crew of 5 two days-then I learned that the insurance coverage was roughly $28k a year for an established firm with NO claims.

Was told that a company operating at the same fbo as the one I was at caused over $100,000 `damage` simply by dropping a buffer onto a Falcon from the upper tail; a section had to be de-skinned, inspected, repaired, repainted to match (or the entire aircraft has to be done if a match cannot be accomplished) and then there is something that happens to the aircraft or rather the aircrafts owner called -diminished value- interesting stuff...

How about $400 or so just to replace a static wick ??

Big dollars coming in and big dollars going out-no thanks.

Trouble, like you tag line-there are no singular events in nature, you are correct.

To the OP, you might want to contact the company`s that are in your area about this and start from there. Look them up on the net and start asking lots of questions and you will have to think how much you will need ( 1-10 mil per claim ) to cover your company when something happens.
