Pad to use for D151 on gelcoat?

Have a friend`s boat that was detailed 6 months ago, and has decent gloss. I have a ton of D151 to use up and would like to use the it for this task. So what pad would you use for my Flex 3403?

I’m thinking a Meg`s foam polishing pad, as I have two of these:

    Opinions?

What condition is the gel-coat in? If it is in fairly good shape use the soft-buff Meg`s pad will work great.

Glen would love to know how you make out with this been starting to experiment with different pads outside of wool on boats been using 3m waffles which are nice for heavy compounding not really polishing. My one complaint is when doing topsides with the snaps for canvass and some tighter spots on bridges and rail caps they have a tendency to shred which sucks cause good pads arent cheap!

Try using a 3inch pad with extender for around snaps:

Thanks Ive been thinking about getting one of those for a while because of a lot tight spaces on boats especially bridges with riggers and radar arches where you cant fit the wheel in between all of that just a pain to swap the backing pads sometimes but i guess it will have to do.

I did this today between storms for a test - the pad above works great with D151 on gelcoat!
