I agree JP. I`m not a big fan of largemouth black bass as table fare. Fun to catch though. When the sand bass (some refer to them as white bass) are running they provide excellent action and are much better on the plate. Crappie, catfish, and striper (Mrs. Clean`s favorite) are also excellent eating. We used to eat our share of trout (Brown, Rainbow, Brookies etc.), but my "mentor" up in CO moved me to the catch and release crowd for all but the Brookies which get stacked up in the creeks and need to be harvested to provide better habitat for the remaining fish.
