    19` boat detail price

I received a call to detail a 19 foot boat, it`s been sitting outside for 3 years so it`s (dirty)

The owner wants it washed & waxed and the interior/motor compartment cleaned to a shine..!
Never did any boats but have plenty of experience in detailing so I`m up to the task.

So what would you charge ..?
Most boat detailers charge $25 to $35 per foot ...so that would be 25x19=$475 not bad...
    any info is welcome..Joe

    Re: 19` boat detail price

I just learned this formula from Randy Lowe when I attended the Mobile Tech Expo. This is a formula he uses to price RVs but I think it`ll work just as well with a boat. However, I am not 100% sure if it includes interior work or not...

    Length / 2 * your hourly rate

So a 19 foot boat @ $50 an hour would be $475. He also mentioned that if you are basing a quote in an hourly fashion, add an additional hour to your estimation, just incase. It is always easier to tell the customer that the bill is less than the estimate than more...
