BF SRC Finishing Polish and Gloss Enhancing Polish

My plan for my red car is to wash it good and then use the Porter Cable DA Polisher with the Nanoskin pad to "clay" it. After that, I plan on using the BF Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish to take care of the swirls and what not. Next, comes the BF Gloss Enhancing Polish used more or less for the glaze properties in it. Then I`ll finish off with BF BlackICE. Does it make sense to prep for the BlackICE this way?

Yes that sounds about right, maybe an IPA wipedown after BF GEP if your looking for longevity.

if you are able to remove your swirls, etc. with your polish step , it`s really not necessary to to go to the bfgep, but it will do a good job of cleaning and filling in something you may have missed. otherwise just make sure you clean any residuals from your bfsrc polish step. like colin said, a good ipa wipe down should take care of that. i think any extra prep steps are definitely a good thing for that outstanding, final finish.

No need to use alcohol after BF GEP. In fact, that would remove the main benefit of GEP. GEP, more or less, acts like a primer for anything that uses the BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Trio (this includes ANY BLACKFIRE LSP).

You will get better durability by using GEP first

Ooooh I didn`t know that was the case, going to have to add a bottle to the wishlist and try it out with my Wet Diamond. If it`s non-abrasive, is there any benefit of machine application versus hand application?

Interesting, did not know the products worked in synergy like that.

At the shop where we do a decent volume of cars, We use the BF line almost exclusively because of how well they play with each other. In response to the OP If you were to go SRC finishing and skip GEP, to BFWD. I think you`d be hard pressed to tell the difference. I like GEP for maintenance waxes as a paint cleaner after clay/speedy prep, Which ever your using. Hope it helps!

It can be used either way but my preference is by machine, it goes on with a lot less effort.

And another reason for me to add a bottle of GEP to my next order.

Re: BF SRC Finishing Polish and Gloss Enhancing Polish

What is the benefit of GEP if you are already using a finishing polish before it? Is this just a good process for those that just are going to wax after GEP? To me it would seem to make more sense to go from Finishing polish to WDAFPP and then CS or wax (or both)? Would love to hear thoughts...still learning here.

Well....I don`t have any WDAFPP so that`s why I was going to use the GEP before the wax.
