Reapplication Time BFWD All Finish Paint Protection

I did see the post from Todd in another thread that stated the reapplication time for BFWD all finish paint protection could vary between 2-12 hours.

I just removed one coat of the above around noon today and it is 57 degrees and sunny with 46 percent humidity. Tonight the low will be 38 degrees .With these facts could a second coat be put on after maybe 4 hours or around 4pm?

Detailing outside this time of year is a challenge due to cooler temps and shorter daylight time. Don`t want to mess things up but it would be great to get a second coat on in the same day.

Well...... I chickened out and did not apply a second coat today. Going to wait till tomorrow and hopefully guarantee no problems.

I stepped outside at 4 pm and and it was feeling cooler than I thought it might.

Still, if others have applied their second coat at less than 8-12 hours then feel free to share your results.

    Thank You!

Yes, you can reapply in 2 hours if you don`t have time. But it`s better and recommend 12-24 hrs wait. It`s because you will/might take the first coat off when applying the 2nd coat and it needs to cure on the surface for better longevity and protection for your paint.
