    BFWD vs UPP

I am down the beach this weekend and finally had the chance to catch up on some much needed detailing of my Dodge Ram. I washed, clayed, and polished with HD Speed on a Sonus white pad.

I wanted to see how UPP and BFWD compared side by side In application, use of removal, and durability. So I did one half of the truck with BFWD and the other with UPP. Both were applied via PC with a LC gold pad. I ended waiting about 30 mins for removal and both sealants came off so easy. I also had no dusting issues with BFWD.

I have used UPP since it has first came out and I swear it was always one of the easiest sealants to use. I am no using the Polycharged version after finishing off my old bottle.

Both sealants look amazing !!! The finish is super slick on both sides. I love the look of both on red. I will keep everyone updated on how they hold up. Right now they are neck and neck in ease of use and looks.

Thanks for the review Pat. Is this the BFWD that PBMA put out in the new bottle or the original? They say it`s the same formula, but something tells me that it has been tweaked.

Those are my favorite two sealants....the slickness of UPP is amazing.

I think another comparison like this is UPGP versus BFCS. I find it to be almost identical in their ability, but the BF CS to be A BIT easier to spread, due to a slower flash off of the CS. But very very similar, almost interchangeable.

Its not yet latest version. The version I have is "pre-SEMA" when all of the products were tweaked.

I did half of my Ram today too Pat. Never tried UPP but if it`s like the other Utilma products I`m sure it`s great.

I used BFCS on my truck today and it was easy to use. I love WD but I think the ease of use for CS is a great advantage. I have an old bottle of UPGP that I traded for to compare.

    Pat,

Can you see any difference in the looks between BFWD & UPP?

I will also be interested in the durability.

I wonder if there will be any visible difference in the beading or sheeting?

UPP is a 4 Star product. IME, it`s very similar to BFWD...easy on, easy off and amazing slickness. Maybe a slightly more carnauba look.

Very similar in looks. UPP seems to have more of a carnuaba look with a warm glow. BFWD has that crisp candy look. Both look a amazing and I have already gotten so many comments about the truck this weekend.

Thanks again for the HD Speed. Its a great AIO.

I`m glad you like the speed. The durability is a problem for me.

I look forward to your future updates.
