    SRC-Compound questions

Ok so i tryed out my BF src this weekend on infinity(gloss it up and remove most spiders no full correction) and it worked out well I couldn`t tell the difference between it and Menz SIP that I usually use. So now I`m using it on a black sl550 full correction like gotta be perfect unless it unsafe to remove perfect. I`m noticing the cutting power seems to be higher than SIP to a fault. It`s strange at first I was really excited because normally a black MBZ I end up with a rotary and 3m perfect it followed many fustrating hours of polishing to get rid of the buffer trash. SRC is is knocking down even the nasty scratches and swirls but its leaving these weird lines where I`m making my passes. I tryed to take a pic but cant get it with my iphone camera. I`m using an orange CCS pad with the compound and the damage is only confined to the trunk deck as I stopped when I saw this. I tryed stepping down to a white pad in a test spot and it didn`t touch the imperfections also tryed this on the lines and they wont go away. Before I try anything else anyone else ever have this happen? Or any suggestion as to how to fix it with out trying every pad/polish combo i have laying around(this is my next option but I have a few days with this car so I figure I ask first) Thanks!

Not sure what lines you are noticing? Many would report that BF SRC Compound is slightly more aggressive than SIP, but the finishing should be near identical. It shouldn`t require any thing more than a finishing polish for a flawless finish.

    What shape are the lines?

They look like half circles over lapping almost reminds of like doing a single stage car with really old paint and you go to aggressive and it leaves those strange dull lines in the direction of your passes. It`s hardly noticable on this one though when those stand out big time. I tryed switching to src finishing and a red ccs pad and it lighten them up quite a bit but their still there. So I tryed with a white pad and src finishing and it put them back... So I`m kinda stumped I`m sure I could keep trying abd eventually figure it out

Try the same combo (SRC with orange) but use a DA, and see if they go away.

Same thing I was going to say, but make sure you use a clean pad or clean it on the fly after every other pass.

I love SRC compound. A perfect supplement for SIP if you ask me.
