Total Polish & Seal topped with BFAFPP

Why I purchased another black car I’ll never know…but here it is….
I bought the car last August and the dealer, who out sources his detailing delivered the car in great shape! The only thing I did at the time was apply a couple of coats of BFAFF and maintained the finish until now using Optimum Spray Wax.

    Couple of before shots....

I was going to Opti-Coat the car but after the release and reviews of the latest Backfire products I had to buy and try!!

I ordered the Total Polish & Seal, Gloss Enhancing Polish, and Crystal Seal along with some LCC Hydro Tec pads.

I was up early excited about trying this new stuff…..My car which is a daily drive had not been washed in over 2 weeks……As always I used the 2 bucket method but this time I sprayed each panel first with APC 10:1.

After cleaning I quickly dried and clayed the car with Backfire Clay. I was surprise the easy this went and hard little contamination was there.

Pulled the car into the garage and started first with the Gloss Enhancing Polish on a LCC Tangerine pad. After doing the hood I pulled the car back out into the sun but I was not blown away. I pulled the car back in and changed the clean tangerine pad and started using the Total Polish and Seal on a small spot on the hood. Back out in the sun and I was happy with the results!! That was my ticket TP&S on a tangerine pad!! Then after TP&S I topped with BFAFPP. I figure that after the next wash I will apply the Crystal Seal.

Sorry I did not get any action shots during the process..

I know why you bought black. When it is clean and waxed, there is not better color. Nice work! I like it.
I hear voices in my mind and you’re worried that you’re the freak.

Nice job and thanks for posting your process and pictures.

Sounds like TPnS is a great AIO product.

I too bought black, again! Enjoy your ride!

Looks great, I too dont know why I bought a black car. I will be going back to pearl white soon....TID10 I agree with you on Black does look amazing clean.

Sundaze did you have any minor swirls on the paint before applying TPnS? If so did the TPnS take care of them with the tangerine pad? Reason I ask is, I just ordered the Hydra pads, and M205, but already have the TPnS. Want to stick to the least aggressive method.

I had some very light swirls before I started and I was debating about using 205. I started with the ht crimson pad but the first couple of passes I decided to switch to the tangerine pad. I did not remove the swirls completely but they are nearly invisible in the direct sun. Overall I am very satisfied with the outcome. Since the car is a daily drive I am trying to keep the correction to the lightest possible for now….not knowing what the roads will bring tomorrow

Great job. Black is not a color but a part time job. Looks amazing.
