    Shelf Life of BF Products

Good day - I purchased the BG shine kit about 3 years ago for my mini cooper. And after I redesigned the basement, I lost the kit. Soooo, as I was cleaning out some boxes from the basement, I stumbled on my kit. Ist there a shelf life on the products? I have the BG clay kit but the clay spray is all gone. The kit also included the Gloss shampoo/conditioner, Wet Diamond AFPP, Gloss EP, and the Ivory carnauba wax. And last weekend I bought my first new car - So, it looks like the car gods are smiling on me !!!

Can I use all of these products on my new car? Any help would be greatly appreciated - Feel like I won the Car detailing grand prize !!!

Nice find, hopefully Todd could chime in. I had the same question on some of the newer stuff.

In general detail products will be good as long as they are stored correctly and there is not a lot of extreme temperature change. Sounds like yours was stored correctly and should be good.

Make sure that you shake them real good, and see if there is any separation. If not then you are good to go!

I`ve had a gallon of Poorboy polish for 10 years and it`s still working just fine

BLACKFIRE products have a really good shelf life. I would absolutely shake them really well and make sure they are well mixed but you shouldn`t have any problems. The one thing to look like for is if any of the bottles have `sunken` in or have a greasy feel (including the label). This means some of the solvent in the product has leeched out of the plastic bottle and the chemical inside is no longer accurate.

Because most BLACKFIRE products are water based, this is not a problem. Shake well and enjoy. If you notice any weak performance (which is the only negative benefit in performance) then you can attribute it to the age, but you should be fine.

As long they are in a proper climate they will last for years, but one word is they will wear down every year that goes by.....Dave 10 years on Poorboys wow!
