Question Any cure time for Polish & Seal?

Was wondering if you need to wait to top Polish & Seal (topping with either BFWD,BFCS, or BFMS)?

I plan on treating it like a last step polish without the IPA and go straight to BFWD.

I would wait at least 12 hours for the polymers to bond before topping with anything.

I actually did no wait time as it hazes over almost instantly and then wipe it off with poly spray to double the polymers - excellent - see my trifecta post

    BLACKFIRE Total Polish & Seal
Dry Time: N/A, work into the paint until nearly clear and remove immediately.
    Cure Time: 15 minutes-2 hours
Recommendations: Wait 2 hours for additional topping, particularly in cool or damp climates.
In Use: If applying Total Polish & Seal by machine, the machine agitation of the product (or vigorous hand application) greatly accelerates the cure time. You can remove Total Polish & Seal with Wet Diamond Polymer Spray to increase protection instantly.

In most normal climates (not cold or very humid/damp) the first section you are started on (hood/fender/roof/ect) will be fully cured by the time you finish the car, and the last section will likely be fully cured by the time you reach it when topping it. If you want to be extremely caution you can wait up to 2 hours, but the overwhelming majority of the time you are good to go almost immediately.

Is Total Polish and Seal plastic trim friendly? Curious for prepping plans.

I polished a few vehicle with TPS using a PC and then topped with BFWD and/or BFMS as soon as I was done with the polishing step and have seen nothing but GREAT results and durability. I think it worked fantastic and use these combos frequently due to the no wait factor. Great benefit from using products from the same line that compliment each other!

I have not experienced any trim stains but Total Polish and Seal does contain abrasives so there is staining potential on finely textured or pebbled trim.

Can you top with BFWD or another sealant like Power Lock or WG DPS?

Hi Al, sorry I missed this. If you ever have a question and I don`t see it feel free to shot me a PM and I will get to ASAP!!

Yes, you can top BFWD with anything you like. I cannot guarantee the results of course (part of our testing did involve topping with other products) because there is so much to test.

I don`t know if you are going to see a major improvement though (I am biased but I prefer BFWD).

Todd, I found the answer in another thread. I was really asking how soon you could top Polish and Seal with something else like BFWD etc. The answer was almost immediately.

Correct. TPnS is almost 100% cured by the time it is all buffed away!
