    Alternate uses for products?

Seeing mikenap`s reply in the Duragloss Rinseless Wash w/ Aquawax thread " I`m not sure if it will replace ONR for me since I use it for a lot of other things besides washing," got me thinking. What are other uses you guy using your products on other than their intended purpose? As an example I use my OPC for general cleaning around the house and I also use Optimum IDGE on my flat panel TV and lap top screen.

I use Megs QID for display cleaning. Haven`t yet but plan on using ARO on patio furniture in the Spring. OPC for cleaning appliances.

I use Diamondiate`s glass polishes in my shower, and Meguiar`s Window Cleaner everywhere (that the EPA will let me)

    Re: Alternate uses for products?

I always enjoy these threads as it gives a lot of ideas.

Meg`s Glass Cleaner-Everywhere, especially for household stuff. Also use it to remove polishing oils from paint. Thanks to Kevin Brown for that idea.

ONR-Again, just about everywhere. It`s a great light-duty interior cleaner as well. Also good for laptops and nav screens. FWIW, I always mix ONR with distilled water.

Sealants- When I get bored, I like to wax or seal the kitchen sink. Not that it really helps that much, but my wife`s reactions to it are usually hilarious.

OPC and APC+ for cleaning stovetops. Always follow that with ONR too, to remove any residue and get rid of streaks.

Buffers can also be used to polish light scratches out of DVDs, CDs, and Blu-Rays. Thanks to Barry Theal for that idea! too!

    I have few...

Megs NXT2.0: wax for my golf clubs. (I want to try and use it up. I don`t like to be wasteful.)

Armor All APC: General household cleaning. (I got it as a Christmas gift from a well intentioned person. Again I don`t like to be wasteful.)

XMT Polishes: Cleanup my fiberglass shower surounds.
XMT 360 / Menz PL / Opti-Seal / WG DGPS - Seal and protect fiberglass shower surounds as well as durability testing

Opti-Seal / Colli #845: Seal snow shovels (Soon to be Opti-Coat)

Stoners Invisible Glass / Fog Fight: Bathroom Mirrors

    FK 425: LCD Screen Cleaning

I use Collinite 845 on the tiles in my shower, beads like crazy...lol.

Like most I use Meguiars Glass Cleaner on all the glass around my house (that`s a bold faced lie...my WIFE used Meg`s Glass cleaner on the windows...lol).

I also have used Poliseal to remove some light scratches out of out black appliances in the kitchen. Worked like a charm!

Years ago I had a black slate entry that was in real bad shape. I used this company for advice and product. I`ve kept them in my bookmarks known one day I would need them again for something.

I can`t say enough about how well the entry came out, it looked brand new again!

    Re: Alternate uses for products?

I use APC+ around the house and for shoes, also carpet stains. Leather conditioner on the couch. Certain sealants on bathroom counters, sinks, walls of shower. Makes cleaning so much easier.
