    BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner

    BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner

BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner was formulated to release contamination, dirt, polish residue, ans some waxes and sealants from foam, microfiber, and wool polishing pads. Polishing pads that are cleaned often and frequently last much longer than pads that are neglected. They maintain the original performance much longer as well. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner attacks the grime in the pad, not the foam or nap.

    Instructions

Use BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner on a soiled pad. If the pad is freshly soiled use several sprays to saturate pad. If the pad has sat awhile and has old caked-on residue saturate the pad with cleaner.

Massage with your hands. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner uses non-ionic surfacants to release oil, soil, polish residue and wax from foam and wool pads yet is gentle enough that it will not dry out your skin. We still recommend wearing nitrile gloves to prevent staining or transfer to your skin.

Use a pad conditioning brush on the surface if needed.

Rinse pad clean with a hose or in a bucket of water.

If you have a rotary polisher center the pad and spin at moderate speed to aid drying.

Allow pads to dry completely before next use.

Does just using Dawn dish soap hurt the pads?

Todd will BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner remove BF Wet Diamond from Pads? I have not found a Pad Cleaner yet that can get BFWD out of Pads.

A little tip: when spinning the pad dry on a rotary, put the pad portion in the upper portion of a 5 gallon bucket to catch the sling.....

Not in my experience, the problem with dawn is rinsing the residue completely out of the pad.

Not really, wet diamond bonds pretty tight to the foam

Ummmmm You should dry your pads with the velcro side up. At least that`s what I have been told to help keep the adhesive intact. Just saying!

Great point, but that makes for a bad picture. I also like drying them face down to prevent dust and dirt from landing on the foam.

It make sense that water would go down even though it cannot evaporate up so less water against the adhesive.

    Dear Friends

I haven`t used any Wet Diamond products yet (though I ordered the new polymer spray today), but once I finish using some of the stuff I`ve already bought, I`ll try it.

Given that Wet Diamond won`t wash out of pads, what do you do? Just clean them out using a regular effort, don`t worry about what`s left in the pads, and then just consider them dedicated Wet Diamond pads?
