Question BF Wet Diamond Polymer Spray = dust magnet?

Has anyone noticed an increase in dust attraction after using BF Wet Diamond Polymer Spray? Easter weekend I topped BF BlackICE with a fresh layer of BF WDPS, drove 150miles or so between Sat/Sun, and then left the car garaged all last week. Went to drive it this past Saturday and was very surprised by the amount of dust covering the whole car. It`s not pollen season here in SE PA yet and I keep my garage nice and clean - so those are ruled out.

Thoughts from those who have used BF Wet Diamond Polymer Spray? Is extra dust normal?

I don`t find it to be. You want dust, use pinnacle wax.

    This isn`t something I`ve noticed.

Never noticed added dust attraction. Just remember pollen season is just starting. My car was extremely dusty this weekend after a quick wash.

I agree with the others, I think you`ve just noted that pollen season has started. We`ve already got stuff falling off the trees here (in addition to pollen).

Thanks fellas, must be early pollen that I`m seeing. I thought it was weird to see so much dust, couldn`t find anyone commenting on BF WDPS doing such, and figured I`d pose the question.

It`s not as bad as BF MS Instant Detailer. I get a lot of dust around here with so much construction going on. When I use BFPS much of it blows off when I start driving. When I use BFMSID, it just sticks...I think this has some carnauba in it, so that is probably why.

I did not find that attracts dust more (or less) than other products. But some other products that claim less dust attraction do not fulfill their promise.

Somebody once said it was due to static electricity from rubbing your paint. I don`t know, but hey - maybe?

I believe there might be some validity to that. I know if you rub a cotton towel to polish or clean off a golf club shaft it will leave a static charge.

I hate to be negative............. (science joke)

But I believe it`s supposed to be negatively charged to do that (or positively)

    But I"m not positive...
