Help with coating choices please !

Well my dealer been emailing me about trading in my ‘16 for the new Nissan Rogues.
Now I was not going to get another one because the ‘17 & ‘18s were cheaper feeling, tiny seats, plastic on everything, thin doors, grill was hideous.
Plus the heating issues on my ‘16. Not to mention the ticking sound of the engine.

Nissan has upped their game. I love how all issues were addressed.
Heavy doors, more soft touch vinyl on the dash, the seats are big and comfortable, handsome grill, and no ticking engine.
So with all that said.. here she is

I’d like to coat everything, inside and out.
    I’m researching, taking all suggestions.
The thing is, I’m not a coating person. Love me some wax.

She has wheels this time. Barrels are fully reachable.
The dash feels like leather, it’s not. Would like to darken.
The seats have a satiny center insert.
Paint is more the color I prefer, with gold flake.
Exterior trim surround, with large rear end

I will be placing an order.
Here’s some of what I’ve been looking at
    22ple
    Adams interior trim kit
    Gyeon
    Car pro
Polish Angel snow cake , may darken interior trim ?
    ???

(I test spot gyeon tire on my car trim, 2 days and still tacky)

I would "coat" it with Dodo Juice Hard Candy. of course, you`ll be "coating" it every three weeks. NICE CAR and cool color.

    Congrats on the new ride.

I am going to start off by saying skip Gyeon coatings. CanCoat in my opinion is their best product and it is not a full fledged coating.

    These are my recommendations.

Paint: Cquartx UK 3.0 and I would say to even consider topping it with Gliss V2 to get that added slickness. I haven`t used 22ple HPC (I fdo own it) but I currently have their VX Pro2 and it is nice. It`s ease of use is nice and it`s performance is good. I do not recommend using Finitura with it. I regret topping my dad`s with it as it took away from the VX Pro2`s nice water behavior. Stick with their VS1 with 22ple.

Exterior Trim: I still like CarPro DLUX for exterior trim.

    Wheels: 22ple VM1

Tires: Dressing of your choice is my recommendation

    Glass: CarPro FlyByForte

Interior: Gyeon Preserve or GTechniq C6 Matte Dash. Use a coating on any piano type plastic trim.

    Cloth: 303 Fabric Guard
    Competition Ready Team 1929 Bentley
1999 Silvermist Metallic Pontiac Grand Prix GT
2002 Arctic White Chevy Camaro SS

Whatever paint coating you go with do atleast 2 layers of each as you are in Minnesota which has winters very much like Wisconsin. For glass coating I like mckee`s for its price to how much you get out of it and ease of use. Tire coating go with mckee`s tire coat as well and apply using a cheap boars hair from Amazon.

Nice ride. I love what Nissan did tire the front ends of all new models.

Haven’t used any coatings yet. But through my research and recommendations I’m sticking with car pros cquk3. The two I would consider if I didn’t buy cquk3 a while ago would be 22ple and kamikaze Miyabi and ISM COMBO. 22ple was out because 24 hours wait time between applications. Miyabi/ISM would be top choice. I just keep reading great things about the UK3 so I stuck with it.

I went with gtechnic for wheels and glass as you can buy 15 ml bottles that would be enough. Probably shoulda bought CP DLUX as coulda got double the amount and did some trim.

Probably use gyeon leathershield to coat leather.

If going to use tire coating I’ve like my tac systems tirecoat. Had it on for 5 weeks and still has a nice satin matte look. Next up will probably be McKee’s tire coating.

I used Gtechnic fabric on my top and it’s been great. Probably better on the inside.

    Congrats again..

Re: Help with coating choices please !

I would consider the Polish Angel Invicible Primer and Cosmic v2 coating. Not the longest longevity but If you want the looks it`s a top contender. Application is like applying a sealant and very forgiving. Can be applyied by polisher too.
As a topper you have the Cosmic Spritz that also reduce the cure time from 24h to 12h after the application. And also could be an option to top with PA Gold Zirkon as the gold plated carnuaba flakes in it would make your gold metallic flakes to pop very nicely I think. You have the Famous Wax or Master Sealant combo as options for around a well maintance 12 months longevity from them. PA High Gloss is a great to make the metallic flakes pops amazingly and also darkening good also.

The Kamikaze ISM is that more glow from since I think it`s hydrocarbon based coating. That could be an option too and combo with miyabi as base coating you have a very durable coating. If going with a durable and long lasting with good looks Carpro Essence and CQUK v3 is a great option. PA Viking Coat is also a good one for winter climates but not as durable as the CQUK. But maintained with Viking Spritz you get up there but use this on CQUK is also a more durability choice to Reload.

So many choices LOL. Have not seen it yet but Apex detailing chanel on Youtube has done a review just now on Cosmic v2 coating. Just remember to use Invicible Primer as it depending on the harder cureing from this. The benefit is that you have the finishing polish step or jeweling polish step with Invicible Primer. If you go with another finishing polish the Invicible Primer Spritz is what to use as it has no abrasives in it like the former.

Congrats to your new car and the paint is beutieful.

Mary, congratulations on the beautiful new car.

I dont have much much I can add, except that I love the performance of the 303 fabric protectant. I use it on the mats, carpet, cloth seats. I will add if you do use it. A sunny day and leave it outside with the windows down for a few hours to flash off and cure. I say this because I know you use the parking garage.

I`d look into the Nasiol Coatings, they appear to be very user friendly, and not perfect application environment friendly. I say this purely off observation that it seems like it can be installed in a simple garage without getting professional equipment. I`d also look at CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0, it seems to be a benchmark. These seem to be good introductory paint coatings that are readily available, Essence underneath these coatings seems like a winner as others have stated.

At the end of this week, I will be coating my first car ever with Nasiol ZR53.

Congratulations! My opinion is Kamikaze ism, can be used on trim as well. Interior G tech and wheels, Kamikaze stance. All extremely easy and durable.

Re: Help with coating choices please !

Congrats on the new vehicle! Since this is your first coating I’m going to suggest PBL Paint Coating as it’s the easiest most fool proof coating around (no chance of high spots). My second choice would be something from CarPro. I’ve used both UK and Cquartz and like them both. Get Dlux for exterior pieces, plastic lenses, wheels, and don’t forget the engine plastics. Now is the time to pick up some ECH2O for rinseless washes and to mix with a SiO2 topper for in between washes/touch ups.

Welcome to the wild world of coatings, enjoy!

Did you not like the Dr. Beasley`s coating you bought last year? What were your thoughts about it?
