Ferrous contamination products only work on Ferrous contamination for me. Never tried it on anything else though. I have used CarPro Trix for both. I’ve only used it once so I haven’t formulated a good opinion on its effectiveness.

Maybe this is one reason why I`m looking askance at some of the Decontamination, because people are using Ferrous Contamination Removers as do-it-all decontamination products. The few I`ve used were simply *NOT* made for general purpose decontamination.

I use iron removers for just that. Didn`t think it would be effective for other stuff.
Wish I could use the A-B-C system, but conditions have made it just about impossible. A couple of coin-ops I use do have a decent-enough-for-me pre-soak that seems to help. I`ve tried with and without that pre-soak, and found that it does help when I want a better cleaned surface. Of course, I still use iron removers and clay.
