More in-depth reviews like the ones that Ray would occasionally do. They made for good reads and provided lots of information. An Autopia YouTube series would be pretty awesome too!

Thanks for the giveaway and letting us give you some feedback!

    1) possibly rewrite the connect points coding or something because it still says I have zero points which isn`t accurate - not a big deal until I feel like being cheap and using the points though, lol..possibly bothers others more than me

    2) and this one is pretty easy: if ag has a new product on their site, why not have it up on ACC at the same time? just makes it easier (on both parties) not to have to put it in the comments

    3) more reviews and how-to`s is always great as well

    4) let`s bring back the buy X get X, I feel like thinning my bank account, haha

Honestly, I`d just like to see you and Jessie be more active on the forum. That could be in the form of more reviews, videos, how-to articles, or just making more comments on our post.

As I`m sure everyone will agree: Ray, Nick, and Todd all did a very good job of was being "present" on the forums (Nick as Autopiatech) by way of giving guidance and sharing their knowledge.

    Reviews.

The reviews from members are great (imho). We have some very trusted members here.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

More product side-by-side comparisons with videos so we can see how similar products from competing brands fare against each other!

In addition to the reviews mentioned by others, it would be a cool feature to have those reviews linked to the product page on the store (i.e., "Check out what our members have to say about Product X")

It would make researching the product easier, and more able to quickly compare products.

How to deal with pads would be great to see. I still struggle with trying to maximize the life of my pads. When and how to clear product from them when applying, or when to switch to a new pad. Most of my problems with premature pad destruction are when i use a AIO, so maybe something focused on how to use ab AIO properly.

    LONG
    TERM
    REVIEWS!

As you know, products are reaching an all time high in terms of lifespan claims... we have 17 dollar aerosprays that claims 1 year protection...
Members don`t usually have the capabilities to do such test and reviews, but maybe Autopia can? Well... but then again maybe it`s not a great idea to debunk every product Autopia sells .... or does Autopia have full confidence in their product line?

    MORE GIVEAWAYS! (no explanations here!)

How about product comparisons? I love seeing 25/25/25/25 style LSP comparisons, coatings, or compounds and polishes... I can see how this may lead to the same problem with the long term reviews....

MORE DEEPER SALES! (no explanations here!)

Carry more products? I love the fact that we got Scangrip onboard, but I am sure there are many other things that Autopia can carry! like... selling bucket dollies separate from buckets...

How about structured end to end detailing how-to videos to really help out the newbies... and include some problems newbies will run into, polisher selection, advantages and disadvantages etc... another helpful video is to show how to section out and polish complexly shaped panels (It was very tough to work with when I first started out) so we dont have a flood of "which polisher (guilty), how do I ___TASK HERE____? This may reduce those newb post.... because they can find the videos.

maybe package together a real essential starter kit so the question of "new to detailing, working on a budget, what should I buy?"
This could be... 2 buckets, basic car wash stuff (soap, drying aid, light polish, lsp, wash media, GG, enough towels to really do one job), basic wheel cleaning kit (cleaner, dressing, towels, brush), basic Interior kit (cleaner, brushes, towels, dressing), Glass kit (cleaner and towels) and polisher of choice. Sure it can amount up to whatever dollars, but going with PBMG brand products maybe the discount can be deep enough to price attractively for the whole kit? Of course everything should be color coded to help the beginner figure things out easier.... Unless this already exist and I never found it. The idea is to provide a kit that can get a new detailer started without going overboard trying to find everything they need to do the job, because then they over shop and start to feel like they will never get a return in their investment.... maybe just my experience. lol... This can probably be a drop down menu style thing so they can build their custom starter essentials kit... Not sure, but this might not be favorable since it can cause confusion... but this can help starters have one of all essential tools and chemicals (i had like 4 different soaps before I actually washed my car for the first time many many many years ago... used one and the rest went to waste because I "felt" like I needed the latest and greatest soaps....)

Or Mythbuster style videos... because some threads have some absurd ideas thats beyond common sense... sorry some threads really irks me... lol

Just my not so humble opinion lol!

I think both reviews ( l always loved the Rayviews) and possibly some how-to-videos on some of the more popular products that get more questions of application than others.

there are some active threads (and past) on here where members are testing products and are providing updates

i get what you`re saying but do you have a year to wait for the results of tomorrow`s product? i don`t.
would that then make you a year behind everything if you did. i suppose it wouldnt really matter much.

I`d love to see testing results from the manufacturer where they have came to validate their claim of X longevity.
that would be cool and why do these not already exist?

and Id love to be on an autopian themed myth busters team, lol

still have a few sections of test area on the frontier, haha

Re: What do you want to see from Autopia in 2017? Giveaway inside!

I would like to see more side by side long term product test reviews. I know these are the hardest to do, but they give the most information.
