Re: What do you want to see from Autopia in 2017? Giveaway inside!

I like many of the ideas others have posted namely more reviews, product comparisons, and giveaways. I would think that a side-by-side comparison of PBMG products to their competition might be great - especially in terms of ease of use and longevity!

For example, I noticed that in an article (I think from Mike Phillips) on AG about coatings, it was noted that not all coatings are compatible with a wax topper, however the only product mentioned that is was McKee`s. It`s one of the cheaper coating options, but none of the others that are compatible with a wax topper were mentioned (including the Pinnacle coating), and what`s more, I didn`t even find ANY information on the product information page for McKee`s Paint Coating (or any aside from Pinnacle) that mentioned anything about compatibility with wax toppers or anything like that. I say this because I`ve recently been researching coatings and there`s not much in the way of comparisons that I could find of the benefits/contrasts/claims/etc of the various coatings on the market today (and there are a lot under the PBMG umbrella, let alone outside of it!).

Offer Todd Helme a ridiculous amount of money to come back to Autopia.

    More reviews are always nice.

Podcasts or videos would be great as it would be something that could be listened to while driving.

    I like giveaways =)

    Staff input is helpful.

I think most things are small tweeks that could improve an already great place.

Clean up the reviews that appear with available products. Many products have been upgraded in the last year or two, but reviews still appear from four or more years ago.

I like the idea of featured reviews and write ups like some others have suggested.

Re: What do you want to see from Autopia in 2017? Giveaway inside!

One kinda nice thing I`ve seen somewhere else is occasional specific `complimentary product recommendations` on a product description page. For FG400 it does mention "Using a mild polishing or soft finishing pad in combination with a longer work time will generally yield best results." but it still leaves many choices of pads for the newbie folks like myself. While i realize that pad choice is also dependent on machine choice (FLEX 3401, Long Throw, GG6/PC, etc) specific linked item(s) from the product page may be helpful. Obviously something like this can have a variety of personal preferences but I think there are some `sorta` standard combos (i.e. Menzerna + Hydrotech Pads) that could be `suggested` complimentary items.

To build on the featured review idea - how about putting the reviewed product on sale? Seems like a missed opportunity not to give us a "but it was on sale" excuses to purchase.

A " Ask A Pro " section or a Reward Program for Members who submit a Quality Write up or Video, without being selected and agreement from a Giveaway or Product Review Giveaway .

I think the forum is missing a club pro. I always enjoyed Todd`s thinking outside the box when it came to posts and reviews. I think it really took the forum to another level.

Posted Product Availability. I would love too see if something is out of stock, before I place my order. Nothing like waiting for shipment info. Then find out one item is on backorder.

Another vote for side by side comparisons.

    Thank you

Reviews and blogs would be great!

How-to`s would be awesome from a professional entity (preferably not from a brand pushing products)

    Thanks for the contest!!!!!
