I already posted in this thread, but in re-reading the rules, I should have linked to a separate thread, so here it is:

    WeatherTech floor liners.

Simply the best piece of protection that helps to keep the interior looking clean and new.

While the WeatherTech floor liners do look nice, I have have great success with with my 15+ yo LL Bean winter mats. Not vinyl or plastic but jute? top with a no-slip rubber base. Much nicer with snowy boots IMHO than any liners.

I like the molded weathertech personally due to it being able to hold a lot

    1. Check liquids. Change them if it has been awhile or too then off.
    2. Check tires / tire pressure.
    3. Emergency kit with all the goodies.
    4. New layer of sealant.

    5. Most importantly. Don`t drive in bad weather. All the prep work in the world won`t help if you make bad decisions. (unless you are a mandated worker. I appreciate you).

I polish out the defects and apply Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 to protect the paint. I then either use a rinse less wash with wax or spray wax every chance I get all winter.

Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Giveaway

I have lived in North (Canada) for a while so i know:
    1) change oil to thinner grade from 5W30 to 0W30
    2) Get the car undercoated
    3) following that a good car wash. With a wax and sealant
    4) Interior : shampoo and detail with leather protection
    5) i would not wash the engine since its already greased with undercoating and provided protection for winter
6 ) Siicone spray all rubber surfaces. Esp door jams.
    7) Finally take bunch of awsome pictures.

Re: RUPES Best Off-Season Prep Tip Giveaway

For my winter prep I will apply two coats of Sealant. This year I used Blackfire. I then will clean the windows really well and apply a coat of rain repellant such as Griots to the windshield. Check the windshield wipers and replace as needed. I will wash my vehicle often and apply a spray detailer as a drying aid to help maintain the Sealant. I normally use Poorboys Spray and Gloss. Since I live in an area with snow and there is normally ample amounts of salt and sand on the roadways I also will wash off the undercarriage of the vehicle really well. I have detailed several vehicles with frame damage due to the neglect of the undercarriage. Folks up North I`m sure will agree.
