    Paint Protecting Film

First off has anyone ever used this? Is it worth it? How long does it last?

I am curious about it but not ready to do it. What I am looking for is just a sheet of the material so I can cut it and apply it where I wish. Products such as 3m Clear Mask and XPEL are custom cut to your vehicle and installed by a professional.

Does anyone know of a company that sells a product like this that I can use to protect my car in certain places? My license plate holder rubs against my front bumper due to the way it is factory installed. The visor deflector above my moon roof also causes some issues among other things.

Help as always is greatly appreciated!

I don`t understand what you are saying.
but, usually I get some Amazon.com: Greatwill 3d Black Twill Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap Film with Air Release Channels 60" X 12": Automotive to wrap my whole car.
I bought it from the amazon, maybe you can try a little bit, you can get more if you get satisfied.
well, I guess that you were talking about this?

If you have never used PPF before you do not want your first car to be your own. Go to an authorized installer and just pay to have it done right.

Agreed! Not a DIY type of product.

The new self-healing films are great but I wouldn`t waste my money on inferior and dated films. On well maintained cars they should last 5-10 years, but like most things it all depends on the environment it`s subject too. You`ll want to replace before it gets yellow, cracked, and brittle though.

Also, a local should may be willing to just give you some scrap you can use for small areas.

I have had Venture Shield on the entire front bumper, almost halfway up the hood and front fenders, mirrors, door handles, under door handles, and door edges for 7 years and it still looks great and has not 1 issue..

It has saved the front end from numerous objects that hit it on the highway, and if it ever comes off, the Black PearlCoat paint underneath will be perfect with not 1 chip in it..

I had a professional do it in my Shop and it was well worth the expense to go 7 years later and its perfect.. I believe it also came with a Lifetime Warranty..
