Kind of similiar to #1. But it shows that you care about what you own. It amazes me to see new vehicles with mud, grime and baked on brake dust. Spend $50,000 on a new truck and never wash it. I dont get it. And dont get me started on interiors...

For the Love of the Work -
I believe my car actually - Runs Better - after it`s all cleaned up Inside and Out....
And of course, one also Feels Better, and just looking at that clean car in the driveway or garage - it really lifts my spirits too...
On Details left overnight, I will go out into the garage at night sometimes, turn on my 16 shop lights and just look over that beautiful car and work again..
Just admiring it and checking Again, that I did not miss anything...
My Client has to have the Ultimate Experience when he/she comes for the Big Reveal !

#3 It is relaxing, it doesn`t matter if you do it as a hobby, side job, or full time business; if it`s your own ride it`s just straight up relaxing.

It`s relaxing. It`s a productive meditation that the rest of the world can covet.
Turn on the tunes and watch your hands work magic on something forgotten. It`s a restoration, the same thing as people that love renovating homes. You see it how it is, you see it during, and you see the end result and you know that you did it. When someone comes up and says it looks nice, you get that double-take, ask who you used, etc. you can look at them with a big smile because that`s your work.

it shows you care. Some people have a nice new Mercedes they don`t take care of. When one of those is parked next to a clean, well taken care of Toyota, the Toyota will look better.
Ive seen Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, BMW, you name it. They spend lots of money on the car but they neglect it. my car looks more taken care of and I find that pretty sad because I drive a 95 Camry...

3) Sets you apart from the crowd
No matter how plain or aged your vehicle is, a well detailed vehicle gets the attention of onlookers more so than a new, expensive version of the same car or truck. If I`m getting the attention of other drivers, it may keep me a bit safer.

SAVE MONEY
Only you know how you want your car cleaned. Don`t a hire a make-up artist detailer that will add make up to your paint and when it washes away you have a car that was used for spider-man to drive .
You want it to have a mirror finish?
You want your car to look good in the sun ?
You tired of your car only looking good in the shade and in the dark ?
if you answered yes to any of these ?`s then SAVE MONEY and do it your self.
Bonding with your car. Like any relationship, the ones that last are the ones where you spent the time and fussed over the details. In the end, that tub of wax you paid $150 for, and that RID you spent an hour on, kept you off Autotrader and Edmunds..

#3: The absolute BEST way to get out of the Honey Do List for anywhere from 1 to 3 days straight.
Then when you throw your back out... you get another 2~3 days.
But the real reward is knowing that you know nobody that knows how to do what you do, how you do it, and most don`t even know WHY you do it.
YET... they all totally respect just how awesome anything you touch turns out.
Best thing however is when you are in your ride... you stop to grab a tank of high-octane go juice and people from 3 pumps away come walking over and ask you who did your car and how they can get theirs done. Hook line - meet sinker.

3. Locate areas of concern before it becomes a costly repair or unsafe driving conditions.
Slightly cloud headlights: left to degrade reduces visibility driving at night and causes unsafe driving conditions.
Clean engine: aids in locating source of any leak to isolate repair, instead of wasting money guessing and replacing parts.
Spot early signs of possible clear coat failure and rust: Especially important if you are still under waranty
Seals in light housing compromised: locate leaks in lenses to prevent shorting bulbs and causing driving hazards.
Locate damaged/unsafe tires: regular cleaning leads to regular inspection for uneven wear(alignment issues), possible dry rot, busted bands, or separated tread. Which all can lead to unsafe driving conditions.
The list could go on.

You decide when, what and when, what not to skip corners on versus someone else deciding for you.
