    Re: REVIEW: Carpro Essence Plus

It sounds like it`s essence minus the abrasives with added hydrophobic properties. It fills a big disadvantage of coatings...you couldn`t before polish or repair a coating without polishing it off and starting the application over again.

    Thanks Merlin.

so it looks like this is only supposed to be used on previously coated vehicles and not just bare clear coat

I know you said its hydrophobic. But does it change the hydrophobic properties compared to just Cquartz Finest? In other words by using Essence + are the hydrophobics different or the same?

That`s what I asked and I was told Although it has Essence in the name it is a completely different product/formula.

Interesting thought. I did "try" it on a non-coated vehicle. It filled the swirls and added gloss with no abrasion.

I can not answer accurately/correctly as I am not the chemist or the vendor. My "guess" is that it may have it`s own hydrophobic properties. I`m not sure.
All I can say is that on the vehicle I used it on, before I started I did the hose test, and the water laid flat. (although he stated he only washed with Reset)
When I finished "polishing" the swirls were gone and there was tons of gloss. I did not hit it with water at that time as I do not know what the "cure time" is.

I had posted this link in the Car Pro SEMA 2016 post but I will post it again. As Merlin pointed out it should not be topped with a coating based on the Car Pro UK Rep. It can be topped with hydro or reload. It is also stated that the beading is similar to hydro. Here is the link.

    But what about TI02 based?
But glad it should work on SI02 coatings

    Re: REVIEW: Carpro Essence Plus

Looks like a great product that fills a needed niche. I have seen many posts asking the question about what to do with marred coatings and before this product the answer always was to polish off the old coating and reapply. My only gripe (a very small one) is why didn`t CarPro change the name to something besides Essence? Maybe something like Coat Fixer. Of course this could confuse users of CarPro Fixer. Lol

After using Essence I`m very much looking forward to using this. I have a lot of clients with coatings and we`ve never had something like this in our arsenal of products to use, but it perfectly fills a product gap that was needed. Awesome

I`m all over this Essence Plus. After the amount of coatings I did this past year it will be an excellent product for those customers.
