Since we`re talking about Gloss-Coat, I have a question. OC 2.0 was highly chemical resistant, which was great for contaminants like tar, which could be cleaned off with a solvent without effecting the OC 2.0, whereas with a wax or sealant, the solvent would generally remove the LSP.
How does Gloss-Coat hold up to things like IPA, mineral spirits, Iron-X, Tar-X, FerreX, etc.?

Chris,
Since I just got 2 tubes of gloss coat, I would like to know this as well.
I will be recoating 2 vehicles that were coated with Opti-Coat 2.0 about 2 years ago. Any special prep? My idea is to wash, Ferrex., Nano skin pad it (fine), clay other area can get to w/Pad using ONR as Lube, Hopefully only polish with a polishing pad and finish polish to out any Micro Marring or nonsense I have collected. Wipe down 2X with IPA or Eraser. (Is there a difference as far as OG is concerned-I have both on hand). Apply OG with suede applicator 2 coat on paint, trim, headlights and wheels. Optimum Glass Coating will be re-applied, it is holding well and better than the OC 2.o.
Use hyper polish as your polish, damp microfiber wipedown for any unseen residue, skip the IPA because Hyper is awesome.
Chris, we were also asking about the chemical resistance of Gloss-Coat, and whether say, if we got tar on it, we could wipe that off with mineral spirits or IPA without affecting the Gloss-Coat the way we could with OC 2.0? And what about Iron-X, Tar-X, FerreX?
Mineral spirits depends on the content (paint remover type), none of the rest will hurt it.

I`m talking about things like odorless mineral spirits, Tarminator, Turtle Wax Tar Remover, I`m imagining that those aren`t the "paint remover type" and they aren`t much different than Tar-X or Trix or FerreX as far as solvent makeup.
At any rate, it sounds like Gloss-Coat is pretty much as chemical resistant as OC 2.0?
