    Finally Pulled the Trigger

The current no exclusion sale "forced" me to pull the trigger on a Flex 3401.

    Went with the package deal, got the Flex, Meg`s M105 (32 oz), M205 (32 oz), 6 pads, 2 Cobra MF, a 4 3/8" backing plate, and 2 3" surbuf pads for $379.92.

I will keep my PC for 3" pad duty.

Anyway, if you were every thinking of getting a Flex, now wouldn`t be a bad time.

You will wonder why you didn`t do it sooner! And honestly the PC will still have a place in your arsenal

I think that you will really like the Flex. I find myself going to it more and more especially for correction work. It is a workhorse. I still have a couple of PC7424`s that I use with smaller pads or for lighter polishing work. The PC`s are a little easier to operate but just won`t correct like the Flex will.

Congratulations on getting forced rotation !

Just dont fight it, it rotates counter-clockwise (to the left), so the machine wants to go that direction more...

If you are left handed then this might not be an issue anyway..

I have had mine since they first came out probably 8 years ago.. (?)

    Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger

Since I got my Flex I`ve never looked back. I don`t know how I used the PC for the last year. I went to use it today and it just felt like it was beating me up. I put it away and went back to changing pads on the Flex.

Awesome, I love my Flex, sure you will do. My porter cable still sees plenty of use with a 3"bp for tight areas and as a wax/sealant spreader.

I jumped on the sale to add a Rupes 15 to my collection!

Don`t forget about Autopia Points too. So if you have an account on Autopia, you should have received points for that order too!

Congrats on the buy. I really need to pull the trigger on a new polisher too. I have been leaning towards Rupes but I`m sure I would be happy with either.

    Congrats!

I sold my GG6 and got myself a set of Rupes (15ES and Mini) but I have always wanted to try a Flex since it got praised to no end

    Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger

I got the Flex at the last sale. I have three black vehicles and the Flex does the job faster than the PC7424 did. Great choice!

    Re: Finally Pulled the Trigger

I`m sure I couldn`t have gone wrong with a Rupes, but I`m not a pro, and I don`t want too many machines, so the Flex seemed like a single machine that would complement my PC.

My one concern is that I am hoping to use the myriad of 5.5" pads that I bought for my PC. I`m worried the 4 3/8" backing plate might be too small. Anyone try this?
