Somebody oughta snatch up that older one ( #2 ) with the original-style switch...eh, or at least *I* would prefer that. The switch on the Euro model looks good too...just don`t go for the more modern, flatter switches myself.

Mine are pretty old, IIRC my newer one dates to about `93. So they`re all single speed which is fine by me as *IIRC* the variable-speed model lets you turn the speed *down* whereas I`d like to be able to turn it *up*.

The switch is just a personal preference, after using that tall toggle-switch for so long I don`t want to change to the lower flat one. I can see others having opinions on both sides of the fence as some find the old switch (too) easy to knock on/off accidentally.

Hi, just bought the #5. Are the pads included hook and loop? Not familiar with the Cyclos, have been using a PC D/A since 2002. All I need to get are the polishing pads? Thanks!

The pads are not included in the open box deals. You do get the ProGuard backing plates so all you need are the pads: Cyclo Orbital Polisher & Accessories
