Would be such a deal still. I just made a mock order on AG yesterday and for two items totally around $65. Products mind you not big equipment it was $18.95 shipping lol. No thanks think I would wait for a sale or order elsewhere you can`t tell me it costs 19 bucks to send CKUK and Essense to a continental us state. Probably retail ups or FedEx price before a business discount like 8-9 tops.

It was expensive becuase of the order value. See Autogeek`s shipping info here: Shipping Information
Autopia does the same thing: Shipping
Connect got me to try a lot of products that I never would have. My bank account does not miss it.
Yeah, I`d a been gooned as well. The only thing that keeps me from small orders (i.e a set of 6 pads) is the ridiculous shipping based upon order value. For example, was thinking of grabbing a set of HD Pads at the AG 25% sale (free shipping over $100)...the shipping costs were nearly equal to the discount amount...no sale. $18.95 to ship 6 foam pads?
Blue HD Orbital (2):$25.98
Oran HD Orbital (2):$25.98
Red HD Orbital (2):$25.98
Subtotal:$77.94
Shipping:$18.95
Tax:$0.00
25% savings:-$19.49
Total: $77.40
Another supply house who uses USPS to ship smaller items woulda charged me $3.95 to ship and I woulda got it in 2-3 days. And they currently have the pads on sale anyway, total order for above woulda been $51.29.
Bottom line is that unless you meet thresholds or catch a low/free shipping deal, it`s a deal killer for me on `impulse` items; if connect had free shipping always, I`d likely have twice as much stuff as I do now. And half as much money in the bank.
All. It`s a balancing act , if you could look at it from a different POV. When AG runs promos/free shipping, they EAT the shipping cost. Granted, I`m sure they have some level of discount based on their volume contract. Then you get into real weight vs. dimensional weight with the shippers. At bare minimum, it must cost them $5-8 MINIMUM for the smallest item/box they ship. Someone`s got to pack the product. PBMG uses nice THICK cardboard boxes....etc.
USPS is a joke, so they`re not even in contention IME for shipping...
No more?
So the more profit they are making the more they charge for shipping for even more profit?

I guess every experience is different. Of the 25 or so shipments delivered to me from this place in last year, no problems with any of them and if I order Monday, have the stuff by Wednesday for the most part. Same with another place out West that always seems to have a deal on pads. Of course, now that I said that my next USPS shipment will likely end up in a hut on the Volga River in central Russia.
Not knocking all things PBMG in any way; have ordered $1000`s worth of stuff in the last year, mainly Autopia/AG. Their selection and service are excellent but for smaller and things I need ASAP, geographic location of supplier and shipping costs often knock them outta the running.
Getting back to OP, free shipping w/ Connect woulda made Autopia a 99 outta 100 choice for products such as this.
