Was trying out my DP tire coating and messed up the process and ended up with a white coated tire lol. I`m guessing I didn`t clean the tire enough. Is there a way to remove the coating for a "do-over"?

Ok, I think I got it totally clean. I scrubbed the mess out of them until the cleaner went white, let them dry, and just reapplied. Fingers crossed

Which tire cleaner did you use? From my understanding getting the tires 100% clean is totally critical for DP Tire Coating to work correctly.
Also, are you saying the DP Tire Coat dried white on your tires?
Reasoning I ask is because I`ve got the DP Tire kit but haven`t used it yet - the more info I can learn the better. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!

Besides cleaning the tires thoroughly, make sure you allow adequate time for the coating to cure before jumping in the vehicle and taking it for a spin, especially if it just rained and puddles are still present.
If the vehicle is parked outside in direct sunlight, the coating should cure completely within an hour. If it`s cloudy outside or if the vehicle is parked in a garage, give the coating several hours to fully cure.

I used the DP tire cleaner and restorer included in the kit. The only thing I can think happened is the tire coating reacted to my old dressing or even the tires being wet during application. I thought just spraying the cleaner & restorer and slightly rubbing was good enough, man I was wrong. All I did to reapply is re-clean the tires with the cleaner and scrubbed them MULTIPLE times (5-6) until the foam from scrubbing was white. Don`t be too conservative with the cleaner either. I sprayed more when I notice the foam diminishing. I think that`s why such a large bottle is included. One coat gave me a nice satin finish. Will post pics tomorrow .

Cool! I`m looking forward to your pics
Yeah scrubbing the crap out of your tires and rinsing the brush after each application are key steps to insure everything gets removed. I`ve used Tuff Shine tire cleaner in the past and was amazed how long it took to get a single tire clean.

Directions:
Always work on a clean, dry surface out of direct sunlight.
Wet wheels (NOT tires) prior to application.
Spray DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer directly on to dry tire. Allow to dwell for 1 – 2 minutes.
Scrub using a stiff-bristled brush, wetting the bristles often,*(with tire cleaner*, not water) until all browning is removed.
When foam produced is white, the tires are completely clean.
Rinse tires thoroughly.
Dry tires prior to applying DP Tire Coating.
Take notice that you do not use any water until it`s time to rinse.
*my note
The product instructions say:
Allow product to set for 15 minutes, then apply a second coat. If higher gloss is desired, apply additional coats waiting 15 minutes between each coat.
Assuming it`s been tested and proven, it`s always best to follow manufacturer`s application instructions.
Man, that looks great! Pinnacle Black Onyx is one of my favorites as well - thanks for sharing a photo

Looks great. Not overly glossy but just a nice finish. Let us know what kind of durability you get with it.

No problem bud. I hope you get similar results .
Thanks! I think it will grow on me once I get it out in the sun. Once this cold weather gets away from here I`ll really get the car out. I drive it sparingly in the winter so I might not be the best person for durability. Now I could apply some to a work truck that`s outside 24/7 and gets muddy some .

Bump.... Anyone have any advice on cleaning in between the lettering of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires? They have extremely small lines in each letter and it appears that just scrubbing with the low profile tire brush doesn`t get theses spots.
This is stuck under my coated tire.... Guess I will be re-coating. I love wasting product. Smh
