    I received my UDM last night. I applied the white pad that the unit comes with to the backing plate that came with the UDM and it looks a little small. I have a greater edge "lip" that what is shown on the manual cover. I compared the white pad that the UDM came with to a 6.5" LC CCS pad and my LC pad is slightly bigger than the white pad.



    Is there any need for concern? I`ve added photos to illustrate what I`m referring to.

    Nope, that`s just perfect! That`s the way mine is too and it works great! You wouldn`t want to go any bigger than 6.5" with that backing plate, but for 6.5" pads it is indeed the right size.

    that`s normal ^ , some like to use a 6" backing plate instead because it gives more even coverage/pressure around the pad as shown below...
