Your pick is why I too have about 150 of those towels. I bought many towels from microfiber tech, I believe I paid 2.70 a towel for a case and they are fantastic towels. I have orange boas and the the zaino towels but nothing compares to the edgeless towels.

Ive always wanted to try the Zaino Borderless but you just cant get them over here the UK.... Its a cotten cloth though isnt it?

I believe they are of an undisclosed material. They are a nice towel and what I first started using, they were recommended by junk man and very difficult to obtain as they sell out fast. I went to the boa after using the zaino towels. Then I found the edgeless towels. I only detail on the weekends for the most part and wanted to make sure I had plenty and the case price was appetizing! I had a bunch of the silk banded dual pile style but when construction was done they were in the garage and the bin lids were open. Saw dust galore, so they got moved to the interior bins. About 60 towels :-(

You know what Angus.. The word "best" is kind of so unfair when comparing these things... So one thing I wanted to say in the video was what I was looking for here was a really high quality, well made buffing cloth the performed well in the tests, and also represented good value for money, had no construction issues with the border or pile etc and was at the optimum density and pile height and blend (although there isnt really such a thing in general terms)... All these cloths are the weft knitt high pile or plush (more than 3 mile napp height) split or open microfiber as opposed to closed loop... These open pile towels have much more of a soft split capillary like yarn on them... (As opposed to the short pile closed loop format which can be used and abused more but doesnt have anywhere near the absorption or softness imo)

The final 6 all got close to the bullseye... but the towel that won really hit the bullseye in the most catagories... And that towel was the eagle edgeless... It was very close and some of the other offerings could have won this.. for example the Microfiber Madness Crazy towel was fanastic but over double the price... So it lost because it priced itself out of the running... The Chemical guys Happy Ending towel came 4th... It has the softest fluffiest napp (with the BOA 500) but it lost because it didnt cope with sticky polish quiet as well as the ones above it (although it was a damn fine cloth)... The BOA lost literally 1 or 2 marks because of the bad size and didnt get as good value for money as the Eagle (as its 5 pounds and the extra size doesnt really give it any advantage) but the BOA was lovely and may have been good enough to win if it was 16 x 16 and perhaps 50p cheaper... So it was tiny factors that just made the eagle win...

Dont want to also dismiss the lower order towels.. The gyeon softwipe.. the boa 350.. the blackfire midnight...

And the 2 bargin towels from Waxpack and Savers Choice UK are both awesome.

The big shock to me was how bad the Dodo Juice Fantastic Fur was... totally defunct.. something really "wrong" with the absorption properties of this towel...

Thank you sir! Maybe it`s me, but I`ve never found an "edgeless" towel that doesn`t lint. I`ve tried a bunch of them and no matter what, they`ve always linted. Drives me nuts.

How does your winner, TRC Eagle Edgeless do as far as linting is concerned?

the vast majority of linting issues are caused by not washing properly (ive been guilty of not washing them properly and having issues with linting and the napps going a bit brittle, but I look after them now)...

For example... Ive seen a lot of people saying the Eagle edgeless lints... It doesnt lint at all... Its all about how you wash these towels and more importantly dry them..

If your towels are linting its most likely contamination from other towels that have been rubbing against it in the wash (thats why you never mix them) or you have been machine drying them on full whack, to the point they are bone dry... this degrades the polyster component over time and the structure starts to break down (causing a more dust like looking lint when you use them)

you have to put a little bit of care with how you wash them (its a pain) but if you do that none of them lint from the nap (well virtually none of them ) Some do have border issues where the border continues to give up "fluff" this was one thing I talked about for each towel.. Gonna do a how to wash microfiber video but theres lots of good advice out there online on this already. The Rag Company offer some good advice on this on their website...

From owning the eagle edgelss, I have found they tend to lint as they get older. They work great for rinseless washing. I have not been to fond of them for compound and polish removal.

I "think" that most of the members know how to wash/dry micro......

Do you mean towels of different GSM? Or edgeless vs edged towels?

So you`re admitting all edgeless towels will lint to some degree- correct?

Is giving up the fluff different then linting? Or the same thing - just lint coming from the edge instead of the nap?

The linting issue would concern me, even for use with a Rinseless. The ones I`m using now can bug me in that regard, and I want my next batch to *not* have this issue.

I find the Eagles to lint as well and I wash them separately, dry on very low heat, all that particular stuff. They tend to lint on grabby surfaces like glass and dry paint. With a very slick QD or spray wax, linting isn`t so bad but they still do. I think it has to do with the split end fibers. The Chinchilla and Shine and Buff towels have similar split end fibers and they lint too. The towels with looped ends, especially with low pile weaves don`t lint as much, for example the low pile side of the Gold Plush Jr. Heck I even sometimes use my lowly Costco towels as a final wipedown on glass to remove lint left behind!

Chinchilla and Shine and Buff towels have similar split end fibers and they lint too.

No kidding? You`ve had Chinchilla and S&B towels lint on you? Thankfully that hasn`t happened to me - yet. Chinchillas are my go-to towel for QD, WW, final buffing. Have a ton of them and the only thing I`ve noticed is a few aren`t as soft anymore.
