S100 Is the same As P21S so if cost was the issue you could buy the s100. They they s100 at harley shops

#16 beads (much) longer than S100 *in my experience*.

As mentioned S100 is cheaper than P21S, and is available in most Harley Davidson shops (Both made by same company.). S100 has a very nice look, though, and is very easy to apply/remove. #16 is sometimes a little "finicky" in removal.

Can I apply s100 on a black LC pad? Haha I`m beenin` lazy here.
I have it, I didnt open it yet( both #16 and s100). This snow storm going take some time before the snow start melting. By then we probably get another one.

I believe #16 is more durable than P21s(S100). I`ve never used it but thats what seems to be the overall consenus on the boards. I have P21s and its the EASIEST wax to apply. It takes me maybe 5 mins to apply a whole car and another 5 to remove. I don`t know why you want to use a PC for its application. P21s is pretty durable too, not as good as #16, but not bad for a carnauba.

I think durability is not an issue. Guru Reports gave #16 a C+ for durability but an overall low score. For P21S (different from S100 by the way-slightly different formulations), durability was a B- and it won as the best carnauba.

Sometimes you get what you pay for...get the P21S. I like the look a ton better.

I find that #16 and S100 are much of a muchness in my experience durability-wise. But conditions here in Australia are probably more mild than in the US, particularly in winter.

I`ve used both and must say from my experience #16 last longer. I think they both look great but after a month of S100 the beading was gone. The #16 has been on longer and continues to bead. I`m pissed that they are no longer going to manufacture #16. I ordered two more tins to keep me stocked for a while.

Thanks guys, Man, I really wanted to test it. I cant do it now nor next few weeks. These snow are killing me. I havea piece of front qtr panel(blue color) in my basement, maybe I should give a shot.
I might give S21s a shot in the spring time. What other products has Carnau beside the "Sxxx"?

Btw, which is better Polymer(upps has them i think) or Carnauba(s21s)?

A polymer "Wax" or "sealant" should last longer than a pure carnauba wax. A blended polymer/carnauba wax should be longer lasting than a pure wax, but less than a pure polymer. Some people find pure polymers to have a "sterile" shine, whereas Carnaubas typically have a "warmer" shine. Some polymers like Wolfgang "bridge" this difference to some extent. In the end, the look is in the eye of the beholder.

klnyc, yes you can apply paste waxes with a PC,(P21S/S-100 and #16). I do it all the time.

In fact, #16 is easier to use, IMO, with a machine. It assures an even, light layer which is the key. It can be dificult to remove if you apply too thick of a layer. Once I tried #16 with my Porter Cable I was convinced this was the best way to apply it.

Opinions vary on the 2 waxes you`ve mentioned. I personally like #16 for its shine and durability. I also feel that it leaves a smoother finish than P21S.

There is no way an older tech wax like #16 can match a newer tech wax like P21S. Believe me I grew up with #16. P21S smokes it. Right now I have both on my wife`s Camry. P21S was easier to apply and buff off, i more clear, and leaves a better gloss finish.

SilverLexus, arent s21s and s100 is about the same? I had read that once they were the same company. Hmm, I wonder what cause them to brake up? Anyway s100 meant for a bike, it concentrate in curve areas, whereas the s21s concentrate on flat surfce(like our car).
