    Thanks a TON Nick

My paint has been looking pretty tired these days as it`s going on 11 years old here soon, and I just couldnt get it to it`s best without help. I called on my new buddy Nick from Detail City to help me out. When Nick finished my car, everyone at work was floored. Keep in mind that this car does need to be shot with a new coat of black, but it looks as good as 10 year old paint can possibly look. He told me everything he did, but I don`t really remember. Here`s some pics, and I`ll let Nick chime in and tell you what he used.

    Re: Thanks a TON Nick

    Hey guys,

It was definitely a pleasure to get to know Wade. I noticed he was from around the area (like 20 minutes), and then found out he knows a good place to get a new windshield :naughty

The detail took me 7 solid hrs. I started in the shade and unfortunately could not get any decent before pictures. Likewise, at the end of the day, the sun was weird and I only snapped a few pics.

Wade convinced me to go with him to the gun range tomorrow (I`ve never shot a gun). That should be a fun time, and maybe I`ll get a few more better pictures.

Thanks for the kind words gents!

Anyway, I started by using Adam`s Detail Spray to wipe the car down since he had washed it the day before. From there, I used Adam`s clay bar, and busted out the Makita Rotary. With an Edge blue pad and Menzerna Intensive Polish, I went to town at 1100 rpm. There was a little bit of oxidation, stains, and scratches to remove. From there, I finished up on the PC with Adam`s Revive/Scratch Out combo (80/20). Being black in color, I really wanted this puppy to shine, so I applied Adam`s Butter Wax with a MF applicator. I easily could have stopped there, but I wanted even more, so I applied Trade Secret with a foam applicator.

Tires got VRT on them, as well as the inside. The leather got Adam`s Leather Conditioner as well. Carpet mats were pre-treated with Adam`s Carpet Cleaner, and then extracted with mostly water and a touch of TOL`s Rug Renew.
