    dressing tires

how often do u guys dress tires? i personally like to dress my tires every wash, and lately i only clean my tires like every 2-3 weeks. the thing is that if i dont clean the tires the dressing doesnt look as good and last less. so how often do u guys dress your tires?

some detailing guide suggest to dress one a month

About as often as I wax. I clean them about every two weeks under normal conditions, bleche-white or SG (although I mostly use that underhood) take the most out of the rubber. Dressing can last anywhere from twenty seconds to a week in my experience, so that`s when I dress.

    Re: dressing tires

I dress with every wash ... I use Poorboys Bold and Bright, which loses its shine after a rain but also keeps the tires clean for some time after ... so I wipe the tires off with car wash shampoo and apply BnB with an EO Tire swipe at every wash.

    Re: dressing tires

I dress my tires with a nicer dressing (303 protectant/nxt Protectant) every wash, but Armoral All Tire foam is used quite often; they`re almost always dressed. It`s just so quick and easy with the Foam, why not?

    Re: dressing tires

personally, i would love to dress my tires everytime i QD, or whenever the car needs it. i like having nice, black, but not too glossy tires. i guess you cant have faded tires when youre driving a BMW. in reality however, i do it about every 3 weeks, though i will try to do it every weekend.

After every wash, why not it only takes a few moments and completes the look.

I used to use the Foam and it did a nice job on the tires, but what I found, and not just with Armoral All but most sprays, was that if I didn`t wipe the wheels down completely, brake dust and everything else would stick to them.
Plus, with sprays, many times I would have some overspray on the paint.
Wiping on products just seems to take less time in the long run.

    Re: dressing tires

Every time I wash. I use Hi Temp/top of the line Best Grape tire dressing and their other tiere dressing depending on the look I want. I also have been using Wolfgang`s tire Gel and have been impressed with it. It doesn`t take too long and it sure makes the car stand out. I notice that when I am out and about, I find myself checking out newly washed cars to see if they "go the extra mile". Most do not.
