Souveran Paste and Liquid Souveran

Ok in the thread about Souveran Paste, some people said they would put Liquid Souveran down and the Souveran Paste. Other people said they would put down Souveran Paste and the Liquid Souveran. So which method is correct? I thought I had seen in some previous threads that Liquid Souveran has some cleaning abilities (solvents) that can remove wax. Hopefully this makes sense.

I believe it is paste than liquid. According to Pinnacle, Liquid Souveran doesnt have any cleaning abilities.

I seem to recall reading that Liquid Souveran was reformulated to have fewer cleaning properties than the original version. :dunno Personally, I like the look of LS on top of Souveran Paste a little better than the other way around. I don`t consider either Souveran product to be especially durable. If I choose to use one or both of the Souveran products, I do so based upon looks alone. I reserve the paste for very dark colors, while the liquid seems to go well with all colors.

I have read about people doing it both ways, no first hand experiance however. I would assume that liquid over paste would be a more highly reflective shine while paste over liquid would procude a since with more depth and liquidity. Like most other combos when the prep work is in place the LSPs are just a matter of preference, and in my opinion you can never go wrong with Pinnacle. Give them a go both ways and write us up a nice comparision.

I did a side by comparison. On half the car I put Souveran Paste then topped with Liquid Souveran on the other half I did Liquid Souveran over Souveran Paste. In appearance I liked the liquid over the paste better than the paste over the liquid.

My experience with the 2 is that neither one is especially powerful, cleaner-wise. I used LS on my car and there was a water trail that dried before I noticed it. LS didn`t do much to it. (QD did, though.) I haven`t tried layering them, but based on my experience with each, I doubt that either would take much of the other off. (I also agree that they aren`t the most durable-at least longevity of beading-wise).
I found LS more shiny, Paste more deep.
